                                                                    Promoting Human Rights in the WSF

The Human Dignity and Human Rights Caucus (HDHRC) is a temporary facilitating device aimed at strengthening human rights debates in the framework of the WSF and use the available resources as effectively as possible. The HDHRC is open to every organisation willing to work on Human Rights issues in the WSF.

Objectives:

Enhancing HR culture in WSF (organising core events for each theme; facilitating and coordinating participation of others and participating in other spaces)

Generating relationships for human rights-based collective action (ensuring circulation of information and ensuring that connections happen, facilitating unprecedented links and alliances)

Create new ideas and knowledge for human rights-based collective action (provide space to stimulate discussion on controversial issues to help frame focus for WSF; Creating knowledge about evolving HRs dilemmas; cases, conceptual linkages, strategies, and alliances and stimulate actors to relate to each other in new ways – seek out hybrid networks.
